Ottawa Valley ATV Club

Promoting Safe, Responsible,
Family Oriented
ATV Riding In Eastern Ontario

Our Story

We are a member club of the OFATV and officially incorporated on Oct 15, 2001 which makes us the oldest continuously named club in the federation.

We've significantly grown in that time, with approximately 35 members in 2010, to 120 members in 2018 and over 1000 individual members and nearly 1200 annual permits in 2024.

Our trail system primarily includes Lanark County, North Frontenac, Ompah to Calabogie. Our borders are the OVRT (CP to Arnprior) on the east, Tay-Havelock (Glen Tay to Lanark County border)on the south, Buckshot Lake Rd on the west and the Madawaska River on the north. The total area is approximately 3500 square km. In that area, we have a trail system of approximately 400 km of managed trails ranging from rail beds to some of the toughest bush trails there are, plus another 250 km of connecting roads.

We have a primarily new leadership team for 2025 and welcome input on how to make the club better. We are also always looking for more volunteers to help lighten the workload. Please check our volunteering page to see opportunities.
