Welcome to your club website. In addition to the usual club information we have now built a club community forum where you can join in on the conversation and find out what’s new! Of course all of our friends in the OFATV network of clubs are welcome to join in too.
To join the community, simply register on the website using the same valid email address you used when you purchased your trail permit and enter the requested information, make sure to identify your correct club affiliation from the drop-down list. After you submit the registration, you will receive an activation email in your inbox. Just follow the instructions in that email to activate your account. If you don’t see it, check your junk folder just in case your email spam filter is too aggressive. Make sure to add us to your “safe senders” list so future emails make it to your inbox.
Once you’ve joined the community there are a few groups you can join, the Members Group is a must – this is where you will see information on club events or where you can become involved in general discussion topics. When you join the group you can select if you want to have email sent to you when there’s an update in the group. You can choose to receive email every time there is activity or once a day with the day’s activity or perhaps just a weekly digest with a roll up of the week’s activity. You can also choose one discussion topic to subscribe to or just say no to emails entirely and check-in on the website whenever you want, the choice is yours.
If you want to volunteer in the club and actively help plan club events, you can join the Events Team. The Events Team runs the club events such as club rides. The team also participates in the planning and execution of major events like the semi-annual Ride for Dad and help to support other powersport group events like the annual BMA Calabogie Boogie. Here you will be kept up to date on team activities and contribute to the discussion and planning of upcoming events. Join the team!
Perhaps you prefer to be involved in trail planning, trail maintenance and mapping? If so, then join the Trails Team. This team plans and executes on trail maintenance activities, explores new trails and trail connections to be added to the ever growing list of trails we help to manage. The team also surveys the trails with GPS and then creates the maps and GPS files needed for navigation. The Trails Team continues to work with the local municipalities to help coordinate new trail development or to help revitalize existing trails. If this sounds like you, then join the team!
Feel free to post on your group’s Activity stream to say “Hi” and introduce yourself. Start a Topic in the group’s forum when you have something that needs discussion. Please remember that we are a family oriented community that respects all members equally. As such we expect that everyone who joins and becomes part of our community does the same. There is zero tolerance for spamming, flaming, rude or obnoxious behaviour, profanity, pornography or anything else offensive. We want everyone to feel welcome.
